As we move beyond the COVID chapter and return to normal, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve embarked on together over the past few years. The pandemic brought challenges none of us could have foreseen, but it also demonstrated the strength of our community and the unwavering commitment of residents and team members at Mosser. The pandemic prompted us to take unprecedented measures to ensure the well-being and stability of the Mosser team, residents and the overall community.

Today, there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel. We look back with pride on the strides we’ve made and look forward with optimism to what lies ahead. Below are some of the initiatives we undertook to support residents and the community through the last three years:

  • Enhanced Support Staff
Recognizing the increased need for assistance, we hired additional staff, including Resident Ambassadors with prior experience in tenant advocacy. These individuals were invaluable in offering guidance and support to those navigating the complexities of pandemic-related challenges.
  • Community Engagement
Virtual and in-person building and community meetings became a platform for open dialogue and shared experiences. We rallied together, fostering connections and strengthening our sense of community.
  • Guidance on Rent Relief Programs
We understood that rent relief was a crucial lifeline for many. We took proactive steps by providing information about rent relief programs, helping residents access the financial support they needed.
  • Collaboration with Support Organizations
Our collaboration with organizations like Tenderloin Housing Clinic and Catholic Charities was instrumental for our residents to get certain financial support. We worked hand in hand, filling out rent relief applications, hosting clinics, and providing invaluable resources to those in need.
  • Finding Solutions
Understanding the financial stress many were facing, we introduced options and plans to alleviate immediate burdens while ensuring a path towards stability.
  • Preserving Occupancy
Our commitment to our community’s continued well-being led us to take measures with the shared goal to preserve occupancy and maintain the vibrant atmosphere that defines our properties.

As we move forward with hope and optimism, we are excited about brighter days ahead for the neighborhoods and the overall city. The strength we demonstrated during the pandemic showcased the resilience of our team and community. While thankful to be back to a sense of normalcy, we also hold onto the valuable lessons we’ve learned about the power of communication, unity and support.

We remain dedicated to residents’ comfort, security, and satisfaction as we continue fostering the sense of belonging and care that defines our community. The journey may have been challenging, but it has only strengthened our bond and reaffirmed our commitment to you and the broader community.

Thank you for being a part of the Mosser family.
