Mosser would not run without the hard work and dedication of our bright and talented employees. Bless McCrary, Senior Leasing Consultant at Mosser, is one such staff member who is integral in allowing us to do what we love: serve residents and the community.

Bless is no stranger to hard work – she began working at 14 years old and spent several years in the hospitality industry, working with sports teams such as the Oakland Raiders, Golden State Warriors and Oakland A’s. When Bless’ career in hospitality introduced her to property management, she realized she had found her calling and made a career pivot in exactly that direction. We are grateful this realization led Bless to Mosser earlier this year.

As Mosser’s first Senior Leasing Consultant, Bless took on the management of leasing Mosser’s Oakland properties. Shortly after Bless came on board, all of Mosser’s units in Oakland were leased. While Bless could have taken a well-deserved step back and admired her job well done, she instead took on managing and mentoring a junior leasing consultant. She also assumed leasing management for several of Mosser’s San Francisco buildings.

“I like to be busy,” Bless said with a smile. “There are so many things I love about this job but connecting with people and the community and performing acts of service is number one. Everyone has a different story and being of part of their journey is special.”

One story that has stuck with Bless is about a single mother and her daughter who she was able to help find a home this year. This woman came to Bless in search of home for her and her young daughter, as they had been staying with family throughout COVID and she was desperately hoping to have their own home. She wanted to make it a surprise for her daughter’s birthday.

Bless worked with the mother on her application, meeting with her after hours to accommodate her work schedule, sometimes meeting at 8 or 9 at night. When the woman’s application was denied due to her low credit score, Bless connected her with a third-party service that helped strengthen her application and cosigned for her apartment. On her daughter’s birthday, Bless and the woman decorated her new Mosser home with balloons and surprised her daughter. They all cried together. The woman still calls her Mosser apartment home today.

“Bless was great from beginning to end!” the woman posted on Yelp. “She made sure my move in was quick and uncomplicated…I will definitely be contacting her again when my lease is up! Thank you again for my second chance at life!”

As Mosser continues to make residents our number one priority, we are indebted to our amazing team members who put residents above themselves every day. Thank you, Bless, for all of the heart and hard work you have shown and your fearless commitment to finding residents a great place to call home!
